This is a pivotal role where you’ll manage the financial and administrative functions of the SACCOS, ensuring efficient operations and sound financial practices to support the growth and sustainability of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
As the Finance and Administration Manager, your role will involve overseeing the financial health and administrative operations of LESA SACCOS LTD. This includes:
- Financial Management: Ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Credit Management: Supervise the assessment, approval, and disbursement of loans, ensuring compliance with lending policies and procedures.
- Accounting and Bookkeeping: Maintain proper financial records and ensure adherence to financial regulations and cooperative policies.
- Administration: Manage day-to-day administrative functions, ensuring smooth office operations and efficient resource management.
- Risk Management: Identify financial risks and implement measures to mitigate potential issues that could affect the SACCOS.
- Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with the Co-operative Societies Act and other relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or a related field).
- Proven experience in financial management and administration, preferably within a cooperative society, bank, or microfinance institution.
- Strong knowledge of Tanzanian financial regulations, particularly regarding cooperatives and financial institutions.
- Leadership and team management skills to oversee the finance and administrative team effectively.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Swahili.
