Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to safe work practices and compliance with safety policies.
  • Plan and organize resources and equipment to execute the mining schedule.
  • Conduct meetings with miners and provide status reports on previous shifts.
  • Identify problems and develop solutions in collaboration with team members.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with health and environmental procedures.
  • Control the load and haul process effectively.

Qualifications

  • Education: Ordinary level certificate (Form IV) or higher.
  • Certifications: Blasting Certificate and valid driving license.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 3 years of drill and blast experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role and in load and haul operations as a miner.
  • At least 2 years of construction experience as a miner.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
  • Strong hazard identification and risk assessment capabilities.
  • Awareness of the Mine Health & Safety Act.
