Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to safe work practices and compliance with safety policies.
- Plan and organize resources and equipment to execute the mining schedule.
- Conduct meetings with miners and provide status reports on previous shifts.
- Identify problems and develop solutions in collaboration with team members.
- Promote and ensure compliance with health and environmental procedures.
- Control the load and haul process effectively.
Qualifications
- Education: Ordinary level certificate (Form IV) or higher.
- Certifications: Blasting Certificate and valid driving license.
Experience Requirements
- At least 3 years of drill and blast experience.
- A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role and in load and haul operations as a miner.
- At least 2 years of construction experience as a miner.
Skills and Knowledge Requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
- Strong hazard identification and risk assessment capabilities.
- Awareness of the Mine Health & Safety Act.
