Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to safe work practices by attending compulsory safety courses and meetings.
  • Provide maintenance support for process equipment, including crushers, screens, conveyors, and pumps.
  • Monitor equipment condition and escalate issues to prevent further deterioration.
  • Carry out routine maintenance, repairs, and modifications to plant components.
  • Service various equipment and conduct scheduled inspections on pumps and infrastructure systems.
  • Follow Health, Safety, and Security Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications

  • Education: Trade qualified as Fitter (FTC, IMMT & VETA).
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
  • Licensing: Valid driving license.

Experience Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a Fitter role within the mining industry.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
  • Strong hazard identification and risk assessment capabilities.
  • Awareness of the Mine Health & Safety Act.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
