Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to safe work practices by attending compulsory safety courses and meetings.
- Provide maintenance support for process equipment, including crushers, screens, conveyors, and pumps.
- Monitor equipment condition and escalate issues to prevent further deterioration.
- Carry out routine maintenance, repairs, and modifications to plant components.
- Service various equipment and conduct scheduled inspections on pumps and infrastructure systems.
- Follow Health, Safety, and Security Policies and Procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: Trade qualified as Fitter (FTC, IMMT & VETA).
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
- Licensing: Valid driving license.
Experience Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a Fitter role within the mining industry.
Skills and Knowledge Requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
- Strong hazard identification and risk assessment capabilities.
- Awareness of the Mine Health & Safety Act.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
