Key Responsibilities:

As an IC Security Officer, you will be part of the Security and Safety Section at IRMCT, Arusha, and be responsible for safeguarding UN staff, visitors, delegates, and property. Key duties include:

  • Implementing security and safety protocols as per UN standards.
  • Conducting regular inspections of the premises to ensure safety compliance.
  • Preventing unauthorized entry and maintaining strict access control.
  • Responding efficiently to emergencies, safety incidents, and security breaches.
  • Supporting daily security operations, including patrolling and monitoring.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a security-related field.
  • Skills: Basic computer skills (MS Office) are desirable. Additional security management training is an asset.
  • Languages: Fluency in spoken and written English is required. Knowledge of French or another official UN language is a plus.
