Job Purpose
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing strategic initiatives. You will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to business specifications while coordinating with various departments to keep stakeholders informed of project progress. Your leadership will be crucial in aligning cross-functional teams to achieve the desired outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, tasks, and budgets.
- Identify and assess project risks and create mitigation strategies.
- Allocate resources and set clear communication channels for the project team.
Project Execution
- Lead and assign tasks to project teams.
- Monitor project progress and ensure it adheres to milestones and deadlines.
- Coordinate resources and manage project expenses.
- Facilitate effective communication and problem-solving within the team.
Risk Management
- Continuously identify and manage project risks.
- Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
- Monitor project performance against KPIs and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and vendors.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and changes.
- Address stakeholder concerns and manage expectations.
Project Closure
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned.
- Document project outcomes and improvements.
- Ensure proper transition of deliverables to end-users and closeout activities.
Key Performance Indicators
- Time: No more than 10% schedule slippage.
- Cost: No more than 10% budget overrun.
- Quality: 90% of business requirements must be correctly delivered at project go-live.
Required Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Certification: Project Management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is mandatory.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Skills:
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Budgeting and financial management expertise.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and software tools.
