What is NEST360?

NEST360 is a global initiative aimed at reducing newborn mortality by 50% in hospitals across sub-Saharan Africa. The Role: Regional Coordinator (2 Posts)

As a Regional Coordinator for the NEST360 Project, you’ll play a crucial role in driving the program's implementation and impact across your assigned region. Reporting to the Senior Program Coordinator, you’ll collaborate with health management teams, regional councils, and a global consortium dedicated to reducing newborn deaths.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Regional Management: Coordinating regional activities, monitoring outcomes, and ensuring effective communication between regional and central teams.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Working closely with local and international partners, including health management teams and development agencies, to ensure smooth program delivery.
  • Data Reporting: Regularly updating stakeholders on regional progress and maintaining comprehensive records.
  • Operational Support: Handling logistical needs, assisting with technical issues, and ensuring the region's day-to-day activities are on track.
  • Collaboration: Engaging with fellow Regional Coordinators to create synergies and explore joint opportunities across regions.

Who Should Apply?

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • A Master’s degree in public health, health policy, health system administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in health systems, maternal and newborn health, or program management within the NGO sector.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with Regional and Council Health Management Teams (R/CHMT), and government bodies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for inspiring collaboration and teamwork.

Experience in working with development partners and a demonstrated understanding of local and international NGOs will also be highly valued.

What’s in It for You?

IHI offers a competitive remuneration package and the chance to work in an organization that champions equal opportunities. As part of IHI, you’ll be contributing to a program that has the potential to save thousands of newborn lives every year, leaving an indelible mark on the healthcare landscape of Africa.
