Are you passionate about data management and eager to make a difference? Youth Wings (YW), a dynamic youth-led organization in Arusha, Tanzania, is looking for a Data Officer (DO) to join their dedicated team starting in November 2024.
Youth Wings (YW) focuses on empowering Tanzanian youth through healthcare, economic opportunities, and social inclusion. With a strong emphasis on combating HIV, they implement projects like the EpiC Project, funded by PEPFAR and USAID, aimed at maintaining HIV epidemic control.

As a Data Officer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring data accuracy and program success by working with peer educators, healthcare providers, and data clerks. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining high-quality data collection tools
- Supporting data entry and analysis to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Assisting with program improvement and ensuring compliance with best practices
You’ll also work closely with the Data Manager and engage with various teams, helping improve program outcomes and making a lasting impact in the Arusha region.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in fields like Statistics, Data Management, or Computer Science
- 3-5 years of experience in data management, especially in HIV programs
- Proficiency in data collection tools, data analysis software, and reporting systems
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of MOH and PEPFAR data systems is a plus
