CSI Energy Group is looking for a dedicated HSE Supervisor to drive our Health, Safety, and Environmental Sustainability (HSESS) initiatives in Tanzania. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
    • Support the Sustainability Manager during the construction and commissioning of the M&P Piping Modification Project.
    • Ensure responsibilities under the HSESS Plan are executed efficiently.
    • Oversee daily HSE inspections, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure full compliance with PPE procedures and risk assessments.
    • Report incidents, participate in investigations, and share lessons learned.
    • Ensure the project follows all relevant HSE laws and regulations.
  • Planning:
    • Manage and mitigate risks by developing and overseeing safety plans.
    • Guide compliance with safety regulations and ensure subcontractors follow HSE guidelines.
  • People & Relationship Management:
    • Evaluate performance of HSE team members and train construction workers.
    • Build relationships with jurisdictional personnel and inspectors.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Prepare detailed internal and external reports about HSESS status and conduct incident investigation analysis.
  • Budget Management:
    • Manage the HSESS budget to ensure efficient spending within the project plan.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Diploma in Health and Safety or a related field, with additional qualifications in incident investigation, First Aid, and Fire & Safety Management Systems.
  • Work Experience:

    • At least 10 years of construction experience; piping experience is preferred.
  • IT Skills:

    • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Language Skills:

    • Fluent in English and Kiswahili, both written and spoken.
