Position Summary: School and Community Inclusive Education Specialist
The Specialist will work regionally to build capacity among government counterparts for inclusive education and community engagement, focusing on safe and inclusive learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts to increase community support for safe learning spaces in and outside schools.
- Coordinate with government and local authorities to strengthen inclusive classroom activities.
- Collaborate with educational teams to document and share program successes and best practices.
- Support schools in creating action plans to promote inclusive environments.
- Facilitate the implementation of reading activities and educational content in communities.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field with 10 years of experience, or a Master’s Degree with 6 years of experience.
Experience: Prior experience in donor-funded projects, inclusive education, or community mobilization.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); fluency in English and Kiswahili.
