We are currently seeking a Project Administrator to join our Project Management Office (PMO) on a 12-month fixed-term contract in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The Role: Project Administrator

As a Project Administrator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of projects, ensuring they meet client needs, comply with industry standards, and stay within budget. Your role will span across the entire project lifecycle, from start-up to execution and close-down. This will involve providing logistical and administrative support, managing project data, assisting with financial processes, and ensuring effective communication between project teams, suppliers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scope and Schedule Management: Support baseline change requests and ensure projects stay on track.
  • Project Execution: Assist with the start-up process, contract reviews, and project audits. Provide logistical support for project events, including coordinating security, travel, and visas.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Work with the Project Manager to update risk registers, track mitigation actions, and ensure compliance.
  • Finance and Cost Control: Help manage project budgets by supporting financial forecasting and collaborating with accounts payable.
  • Resource Management: Liaise with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure smooth project operations.

What We’re Looking For:

To be successful in this role, you should bring a mix of technical skills, administrative expertise, and a passion for social impact. Key attributes include:

  • Experience in Project Delivery: Prior experience supporting low-complexity projects through various stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks with accuracy.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in MS Office, with experience in MS Dynamics being an advantage.
