The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Hygiene Promoter-Interpreter in Makere and Kasulu, Tanzania. Role Overview

As a Hygiene Promoter-Interpreter, you will work closely with medical and health teams to educate and guide refugee clients. Your role will involve:

  • Conducting health and hygiene sessions for refugees at transit centers
  • Promoting safe hygiene practices and behavior
  • Monitoring and supporting sanitation standards
  • Providing interpretation services as needed

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or certificate with 3 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of experience.

Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, plus proficiency in English and Kiswahili.
