Role Overview
As a QC & QS Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining quality control throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to industry standards, and managing budgets to achieve cost-effectiveness. This position requires a meticulous approach and strong analytical skills to handle both technical and financial aspects of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Control (QC): Develop and implement quality control plans, conduct regular inspections, and ensure all materials and work meet project specifications and industry standards.
2. Quantity Surveying (QS): Prepare cost estimates, manage budgets, and perform quantity take-offs to monitor and control project expenses accurately.
3. Project Documentation: Maintain detailed records, including quality control reports, materials testing data, cost estimates, and change orders.
4. Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure they meet project requirements for both quality and budget.
5. Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards, following industry regulations and codes.
6. Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to quality and costs and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years in quality control and quantity surveying within the construction industry.
Skills: Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MS Excel, Primavera, and other cost-estimating tools.
Certification: Certification in Quality Control or Quantity Surveying is a plus.
