With new operations underway in Kenya and Tanzania, MAG will be focusing on the rehabilitation and management of weapons and ammunition in collaboration with local authorities and state security actors.
Current Job Openings in Tanzania
MAG is now hiring for two key roles based in Dar es Salaam:
1. Construction Manager
As a Construction Manager, you’ll oversee and manage construction and rehabilitation projects related to storage facilities in Tanzania. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Managing day-to-day construction operations.
- Coordinating logistics, procurement, and project execution.
- Supervising quality control and working closely with contractors
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management.
- Degree in construction engineering.
- Proficiency in creating bills of quantities and using AutoCAD.
- Ability to work independently, with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- This is a fantastic role for those experienced in construction project management, especially with NGOs, who are committed to supporting communities through humanitarian work.
2. Support Services Coordinator
This role is vital to ensuring smooth operations within MAG’s Tanzanian office. As a Support Services Coordinator, you’ll manage financial, administrative, HR, and logistical functions, reporting directly to the Country Director.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with financial policies.
- Maintaining and supporting financial records and overall programme administration.
- Assisting the Admin and Finance Coordinator in Nairobi.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in support services (administration, HR, finance, or logistics).
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Accounting qualifications and fluency in English.
- This position suits professionals with strong administrative and finance backgrounds who want to contribute to impactful humanitarian missions.
