Key Responsibilities

As an HSE Officer, you will ensure safety protocols are effectively implemented, with responsibilities such as:

1. Developing and Implementing HSE Policies: Create policies to cultivate a safe and environmentally responsible workplace culture.

2. Conducting Risk Assessments and Audits: Lead site inspections, assess potential hazards, and conduct audits to ensure compliance with HSE standards.

3. Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with local and international HSE regulations and standards.

4. Training & Education: Develop and conduct safety training programs for all staff to increase awareness and understanding of HSE protocols.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in construction.
  • Knowledge of HSE regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO 14001).
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Certification in HSE management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) is an added advantage.
