About the Role

Reporting directly to the Head of ICT, the Information Security Manager is a crucial part of ACB's team, responsible for safeguarding information processing assets and maintaining a secure digital environment. You’ll play a vital role in managing potential threats, handling incidents, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. This is an opportunity to help shape a security-focused culture within one of Tanzania's reputable banks.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Develop and Implement Security Programs: Create and oversee information security activities, guidelines, and policies to establish a secure environment within the bank.
• Manage Threat Detection and Vulnerabilities: Proactively address security threats and vulnerabilities, leading remediation efforts to mitigate potential risks.
• Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Lead compliance efforts for data protection laws and ensure that the bank’s policies meet industry standards.
• Conduct Security Awareness Training: Promote a security-conscious culture by educating employees on the importance of information security and responsible data handling.
• Disaster Recovery Planning: Spearhead disaster recovery efforts to secure data integrity and ensure business continuity.

Who We're Looking For

We’re seeking candidates who possess:

1. Educational Background: A University Degree in IT or Computer Science.
2. Certifications: Reputable credentials like CISSP, CISA, or MCSA are advantageous.
3. Experience: 5-10 years in information security within the banking sector.
4. Communication Skills: Ability to effectively present information to diverse teams and manage cross-functional relationships.
5. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of data center processes, network security, and information integrity practices.
