Diageo, a global leader in premium beverages, is searching for an experienced Marketing Manager – Guinness to lead the Guinness brand’s growth strategy in Kenya. This full-time role, reporting to the Marketing and Innovation Director of Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL), involves strategic planning, team leadership, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Role Overview
As Marketing Manager for Guinness, you’ll be tasked with driving the brand’s growth, ensuring profitability, and developing strategies to enhance market share and engagement. The role also involves overseeing an Assistant Brand Manager, coordinating with shopper managers, and ensuring seamless execution of brand initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Execution: Lead the implementation of strategic marketing plans for Guinness, achieving volume, market share, and profit targets.
Brand Positioning: Develop Game Plans to ensure clear and distinctive brand positioning.
Agency Collaboration: Work closely with agencies for effective promotion and media execution.
Packaging and Product Development: Develop packaging that aligns with brand values and resonates with consumers.
Data-Driven Insights: Use consumer and competitor data to inform strategic decisions and anticipate market trends.
Team Leadership: Provide guidance, coaching, and foster an inclusive culture to drive team performance.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
Experience: 10+ years in marketing with demonstrated leadership experience, especially in FMCG or manufacturing.
Competencies: Expertise in brand building, project management, and data-driven decision-making. Strong ability to work with multi-market stakeholders and manage multiple projects effectively.
