Project Background
The world is grappling with the adverse impacts of climate change and nature loss caused by habitat destruction, degradation, and fragmentation. This initiative focuses on embedding Community-Led Conservation into GBF implementation by ensuring the participation of indigenous peoples and local communities in biodiversity planning, implementation, and financing. The Tanzania project operates within the Ruvuma Landscape Programme and seeks to demonstrate and document impactful conservation strategies for broader global advocacy and action.
