What’s the Role About?
As a consultant, your main responsibility will be to produce a comprehensive report on 6–8 agri-food value chains in Tanzania, integrating findings from IFPRI’s existing research with new insights. You will collaborate closely with IFPRI’s research team, aligning your work with their ongoing projects across other countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Select Value Chains: Advise on selecting a mix of value chains (domestic and international, traditional and modern, government-priority).
- Draft Reports: Follow IFPRI’s outlined format to prepare and refine reports on each value chain.
- Summarize Research: Integrate findings from existing studies and relevant external sources.
- Collaborate: Maintain regular communication with IFPRI researchers and respond to feedback promptly.
- Present Results: Deliver a summary PowerPoint presentation alongside the final report.
What Are the Deliverables?
- A detailed report covering the selected agri-food value chains.
- Revised drafts of all sections based on IFPRI feedback.
- A summary presentation highlighting key findings.
Qualifications You’ll Need
Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in research related to digital finance or agri-food value chains in Tanzania.
- Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
