The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) is dedicated to creating a world free of HIV and AIDS. Through innovative programming and impactful partnerships, we work to end pediatric AIDS and ensure access to quality health services for families affected by HIV.
Position Overview
As the Advisor – Advocacy, Communication, and Partnership (ACP Advisor), you will be pivotal in advancing EGPAF Tanzania’s mission. Working across multiple regions—including Kilimanjaro, Singida, Tabora, Manyara, Arusha, and Dodoma—you will help position EGPAF as a leader in combating pediatric AIDS while driving improvements in HIV and TB services for children and families.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute EGPAF Tanzania’s communication, advocacy, and partnership strategies.
- Collaborate with EGPAF’s global and national teams to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Provide expert guidance on advocacy initiatives to influence policy and resource allocation.
Communication and Media Relations
- Produce high-quality communication materials such as reports, success stories, and visual content.
- Ensure brand visibility through engaging social media campaigns and effective media coverage.
- Cultivate relationships with media contacts to amplify EGPAF’s work and impact.
Advocacy and Partnerships
- Strengthen relationships with NGOs, government agencies, and bilateral partners to advance pediatric AIDS advocacy.
- Lead efforts to position EGPAF as a thought leader in HIV prevention and care for children and adolescents.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address gaps in health services and influence policy change.
Documentation and Dissemination
- Document and share best practices, project achievements, and research findings.
- Ensure consistency in messaging and quality assurance for all communication outputs.
Capacity Building and Representation
- Train staff and partners on effective advocacy and communication approaches.
- Represent EGPAF in external forums, increasing awareness of pediatric AIDS and prevention efforts.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mass Communication or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in communications, advocacy, or partnership management, preferably in the health sector.
- Knowledge of Tanzania’s health systems and policy landscape.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in basic graphic design and content creation tools.
Preferred:
- Experience in pediatric HIV/AIDS programming or policy advocacy.
- Familiarity with US Government (USG) branding and reporting regulations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality outputs.
