Role Overview
Embark on a four-year structured apprenticeship program with Precision Air Services Plc. This role is designed to build your technical expertise in aircraft paint and repair, blending theoretical knowledge with hands-on training to earn TCAA Repair Specialist Approval.
Key Responsibilities
Training and Development:
- Complete a comprehensive apprenticeship program that includes classroom training and on-the-job experience.
- Acquire skills in interpreting technical manuals, inspection procedures, and structural repair techniques.
- Maintain a detailed logbook to document tasks, progress, and skills acquired throughout the apprenticeship.
Aircraft Maintenance:
- Learn to inspect, repair, and replace aircraft structural components and airframe systems.
- Assist in diagnosing malfunctions and executing repairs under the guidance of skilled technicians.
- Support mechanics in the disassembly, reassembly, and adjustment of various aircraft systems.
Paint and Repair Expertise:
- Gain proficiency in spray painting, sheet metal work, and composite repair techniques.
- Work with general hand tools, pneumatic equipment, and structural repair tools.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and proper documentation of all maintenance activities.
Safety and Organization:
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, practicing proper tool and FOD control.
- Follow established safety practices and utilize personal protective equipment as required.
Operational Support:
- Assist with aircraft towing, parking, and securing at various ramp and hangar locations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by applying Lean principles to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
Professional Conduct:
- Maintain a smart appearance and professional demeanor at all times, both on and off duty.
- Uphold the company’s standards of accountability, transparency, and teamwork.
Other Duties:
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned to support workshop operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Diploma or higher in Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Knowledge of spray painting, sheet metal, and composite repair techniques.
- Safety-conscious with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks without compromising quality.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in aircraft painting and sheet metal/composite repair is a plus.
