Role Purpose

As the Head of HR Services, you’ll drive the development, implementation, and management of Compensation & Benefits strategies and HR Services policies. Your mission is to ensure Vodacom is recognized as an employer of choice, delivering competitive rewards and an exceptional employee experience throughout their journey.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Services

Lead operational HR delivery aligned with Vodacom’s People Strategy.

Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Centres of Expertise to optimize service delivery.

Oversee migration of HR processes to shared service centers and ensure compliance with policies.

Drive continuous process improvement, data accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Integrate AI tools and HR analytics for informed decision-making and streamlined operations.

2. Compensation & Benefits

Develop and implement innovative compensation and benefits strategies.

Monitor local and global labor market trends and advise leadership on best practices.

Conduct salary surveys, job evaluations, and ensure pay equity.

Manage payroll, benefits administration, and compliance with statutory requirements.

Prepare and monitor salary budgets and ensure effective annual reviews.

3. Strategic Initiatives

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and align HR strategies with organizational goals.

Develop retention strategies, focusing on employee development and personalized training programs.

  • Strong knowledge of global and local compensation practices.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in managing teams and working with shared services organizations.
  • A proactive, self-driven approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Integrity and commitment to best HR practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.

MBA preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
