Role Overview
Save the Children is seeking a passionate and qualified Child Protection Psychologist to join our team in Kibondo. The selected individual will play a vital role in implementing, coordinating, and monitoring child protection activities at the field level while offering leadership to community workers. This role involves direct counselling for children, capacity-building initiatives, and collaboration with programme staff, partners, and the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver counselling services to children referred through Save the Children or partner organizations.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Child Protection community workers.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document programme activities to ensure effectiveness.
- Coordinate inter-camp activities and strengthen partnerships to enhance child protection efforts.
- Develop and facilitate training sessions for programme staff, incentive workers, and partner staff to build capacity in child protection practices.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a motivated professional with a proven background in psychology and child protection. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work effectively in challenging environments.
