This December, Global Communities is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their dedicated team in Tanzania. With an anticipated start date of March 2024, this role is your chance to make a tangible difference by managing the anticipated FCDO EFFECTS Plus Project, a $5 million initiative aimed at improving child dietary diversity, developmental outcomes, and reducing violence against women and girls (VAWG).

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of project goals.
- Collaborate with local and international stakeholders, government agencies, and civil society organizations.

- Advocate for change by representing the project at national and international platforms.
- Promote a culture of learning by disseminating lessons learned and fostering innovation.
What Makes You the Perfect Fit?
Global Communities is looking for someone with
1. A Strong Educational Foundation
A Master’s degree in international development, gender studies, nutrition, or a related field.
2. Leadership Experience
At least five years in senior management roles, ideally with donor-supported programs in East Africa.
3. Proven Expertise
A track record of managing large, multi-sectoral projects with measurable outcomes.
4. Cultural Insight
Experience in Tanzania or East Africa is preferred, along with fluency in English (Swahili proficiency is a bonus).
5. Passion for Change
A deep commitment to fostering equity, safeguarding vulnerable populations, and driving systemic improvements.
