About UNCDF

UNCDF makes public and private finance work for the world’s 46 least developed countries (LDCs). By leveraging “last mile” finance models, UNCDF supports poverty reduction and local economic development.

The Clean Cooking Solutions Project (CookFund), a flagship initiative funded by the European Union Delegation in Tanzania, aims to accelerate access to clean cooking technologies and foster sustainable practices. A key component of this initiative is a nationwide awareness campaign to educate, inspire, and mobilize communities, stakeholders, and policymakers toward adopting clean cooking solutions.


Responsibilities

Campaign Strategy and Material Development (50%)

  • Design and implement a comprehensive communication strategy tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Oversee the creation of culturally relevant campaign materials, including print, radio, TV, and digital content.
  • Develop impactful messaging that highlights health, environmental, and economic benefits of clean cooking.
  • Identify and engage key influencers, including government representatives, NGOs, and community leaders.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops, forums, and events to promote clean cooking solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement and Outreach (25%)

  • Build and maintain relationships with national and local media outlets for broad campaign coverage.
  • Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations to amplify campaign efforts.
  • Ensure integration of traditional and digital media approaches to maximize reach across urban and rural areas.
  • Assist in creating promotional materials such as brochures, posters, and digital assets.

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (25%)

  • Develop indicators to monitor and evaluate the campaign’s performance and impact.
  • Regularly review progress and refine strategies based on findings.
  • Prepare detailed monthly progress reports and a comprehensive final evaluation report.
  • Provide training to teams and partners on clean cooking messaging and campaign management.

Deliverables

  • Communication Strategy and Action Plan: Submitted within the first month.
  • Creative Campaign Materials: Radio spots, TV ads, and social media content approved and launched.
  • Progress Reports: Monthly updates on activities, results, and lessons learned.
  • Final Evaluation Report: Summary of campaign outcomes and recommendations for future initiatives.
