Position: Head of Sales

Location: Dar es Salaam
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Direct Reports: None

Role Purpose:

The Head of Sales will play a key role in driving business growth by identifying and securing enterprise and SME opportunities within the ISP sector. This position demands excellence in maintaining client relationships, generating detailed sales reports, and addressing inquiries with professionalism and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, lead, and motivate a dynamic sales team to meet and exceed performance targets.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and strategies to streamline operations and resource allocation.
  • Cultivate and nurture lasting relationships with key clients, focusing on customer satisfaction, retention, and upselling.
  • Generate and present detailed sales performance reports, outlining team results, individual achievements, and client feedback.
  • Partner with technical and marketing teams to create compelling sales materials, tools, and training modules.
  • Strategically manage sales territories to ensure regional targets are consistently met.
  • Analyze customer and market trends to recommend effective business strategies.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by effectively managing expectations and delivering on commitments.
  • Stay informed about GreenTelecom’s offerings and industry developments to align sales efforts with market needs.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Proven ability to achieve monthly and yearly revenue goals and profit targets.
  • Experience in managing sales KPIs, including targets, receivables, and account coverage.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership abilities.
  • Expertise in customer acquisition, sales planning, and execution.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales roles within the ISP or MNO industry.
