Job Summary
The Social Welfare Officer will monitor and evaluate the social conditions in the country, identify needs, assess existing policies, and oversee the design, implementation, and management of social welfare projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring effective service delivery to target beneficiaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to all QC policies, systems, and guidelines.
- Contribute to formulating and enhancing QC’s sponsorship and social welfare policies.
- Develop and propose social sponsorship and welfare projects for approval.
- Manage the implementation of approved projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of sponsorship and welfare staff.
- Ensure regular updates and audits of the sponsored beneficiaries’ database.
- Collaborate with partners to ensure compliance with contracts and identify new partnerships aligned with QC’s goals.
- Document best practices in sponsorship and social welfare, proposing recommendations for improvement.
- Support the mobilization of diverse resources for QC’s projects.
Position Objectives
- Enhance the operations of the Sponsorship and Social Welfare Section.
- Explore and secure additional financial resources for the section.
- Foster robust partnerships with government and civil society organizations.
- Deliver impactful programs aligned with QC’s mission and objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences or a related field.
- Professional Experience:
- Over seven years of experience in social services and project management.
- Additional Experience:
- Expertise in information management and development reporting.
- Proficiency in using office software.
- Fluency in Arabic and English or the country’s official language.
