Position Overview:
CNS Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance and Admin Officer to manage and oversee financial operations while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role will involve analyzing financial performance, preparing actionable reports, and advising management on strategic financial planning to support the company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and ensure accurate recording of revenues and expenses on a monthly basis.
- Evaluate financial data to assess the company’s financial health and identify trends.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and provide actionable insights to management.
- Recommend and implement effective investment strategies to drive profitability.
- Ensure clear and accurate financial reports to aid decision-making and forward planning.
- Oversee the utilization of budgets in alignment with approved financial plans.
- Conduct reviews to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize resource allocation.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of government taxes, statutory deductions, staff salaries, and benefits.
- Manage monthly returns filing, including PAYE, SDL, WHT, provisional taxes, and VAT.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and ensure accuracy in all CNS Group financial accounts using ZOHO Books.
- Review and process expense claims submitted by staff, ensuring treasury compliance.
- Maintain an organized accounting and expense filing system for efficient record management.
- Support fixed asset documentation, inventory tracking, and financial reporting.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education and Certification:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- CPA (T) or equivalent professional certification is mandatory.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance and administration.
Technical Proficiency:
- Expertise in accounting software such as ZOHO Books, QuickBooks, and similar platforms.
- Strong negotiation and contract management abilities.
Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of statutory accountancy regulations, including TRA, NSSF, and WCF.
- Familiarity with industry-specific legal and regulatory standards.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Proficiency in English is preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed for supplier visits and meetings.
