Role Overview: Financial Controller
We are seeking an experienced, driven, and strategic Financial Controller to oversee our financial management systems. This critical role involves corporate accounting, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, and the implementation of robust internal control policies.
The ideal candidate will ensure accurate consolidation of accounts, compliance with accounting principles, and alignment of management results with financial objectives. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop long-term financial projections and strategic plans for individual value streams.
- Establish guiding principles for consistent business planning.
Financial & Business Leadership
- Conduct financial and commercial analysis, advising department heads on value drivers.
- Evaluate investments and support trade-off decisions using ROI assessments.
Financial Reporting
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of complete, accurate, and timely financial reports.
- Manage month-end and year-end processes, ensuring reporting deadlines are met.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead budgeting processes and periodic forecasting.
Cash Flow Management
- Monitor daily cash flow and generate projections to ensure liquidity.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with internal leaders and external stakeholders, including banks and regulatory bodies.
Governance & Risk Management
- Maintain internal controls, update policies, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
People Leadership
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Design training programs to enhance individual and team performance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional certification: CPA (K) or ACCA.
- 8–10 years of experience in accounting and finance, including leadership roles.
- Expertise in business analytics and financial systems.
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel and financial management tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage audits, budgeting, accounts, and risk mitigation.
