Job Overview
The Gender and Youth Coordinator will lead initiatives to support youth development, incorporating gender-sensitive strategies that foster equality, empowerment, and employability.
Key Responsibilities
Youth Care Options Development
- Design and implement youth care options informed by gender-sensitive assessments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address the unique needs of youth across genders.
Career Guidance and Empowerment
- Develop and execute career guidance programs that promote gender equality.
- Facilitate opportunities for youth to gain employability skills and professional independence.
Youth Development and Autonomy
- Promote youth autonomy and independence through tailored programs.
- Ensure the integration of gender-sensitive practices into all youth activities.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with communities, partners, and internal teams to align programs with organizational goals and gender empowerment objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Youth Development, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in youth care programs with a focus on gender-sensitive approaches.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of social work, community development, and child rights.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing gender-focused development programs.
