Role Overview
The Digital Learning Specialist will spearhead the development of dynamic digital learning strategies that align with MS TCDC's mission. This role involves designing engaging, data-driven digital content while ensuring seamless functionality of digital platforms. You’ll work closely with subject matter experts and organizational teams to deliver impactful learning experiences for diverse audiences globally.
Key Responsibilities
1. Learning Design and Content Development
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create innovative and engaging learning designs.
- Support faculty and experts in developing interactive e-learning activities and resources.
- Produce creative multimedia content, including videos, graphics, and animations, for professional courses and initiatives such as SPA II, DFC, and GIZ EnACT Zambia.
- Actively contribute to the TCDC Learning Committee’s sub-committee on Digital Learning and align with global strategies through the AADK Digital Capacity and Learning Working Group.
2. Digital Platform Management
- Oversee and maintain the functionality of digital platforms and learning management systems.
- Collaborate with service providers to troubleshoot, evaluate, and implement platform enhancements.
- Provide guidance and support to users on learning tools and systems.
- Ensure platforms meet organizational and learner needs effectively.
3. Ensuring Quality and Continuous Improvement
- Conduct user studies and analyze learning data to enhance digital solutions.
- Research and implement innovative approaches, including mobile-friendly learning strategies.
- Document lessons learned to improve future projects and maintain excellence in learning outcomes.
- Troubleshoot and maintain digital classrooms and tools to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
Qualifications and Skills
Educational Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Education Technology, Instructional Design, or related fields. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
Experience:
- A minimum of three years of experience in digital learning content development.
- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and authoring tools like Articulate 360.
- Expertise in multimedia content creation, including video production and graphic design.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of instructional design and online learning strategies.
- Exceptional communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work in diverse and intercultural environments, with a passion for engaging young professionals.
- Flexibility and self-motivation, with the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Knowledge:
- Familiarity with thematic areas such as feminism, climate justice, and rights-based approaches.
- Experience working with ActionAid Denmark or the Danida Fellowship Centre is an added advantage.
