Exciting Job Opportunity: Drones Operator at Cotton Development Trust Fund (CDTF)
The Cotton Development Trust Fund (CDTF) is a key organization in Tanzania, established on 4th March 2008 under the Trustees Incorporation Act (CAP. 318 R.E. 2002) with Incorporation Certificate No. 3352. It replaced the Cotton Development Fund (CDF), created under the Cotton Industry Act No. 2 of 2001. CDTF was founded to align with the needs of Cotton Industry Stakeholders, as agreed in the Memorandum of Understanding signed on 21st April 2006.
The CDTF is currently seeking a motivated, qualified, and dynamic Tanzanian for the following temporary position:
Position: Drones Operator
Contract Duration: Three (3) Months
Number of Positions: 1
Required Qualifications and Experience
Educational Background:
- A graduate degree in IT or a related engineering field.
- A valid remote pilot certificate from an approved authority.
- Solid knowledge of agricultural practices, especially in pesticide application techniques and regulations.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in agricultural drone operations.
Key Competencies
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in both English and Kiswahili.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities.
- Must be 18 years old or older.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct training sessions for agricultural officers on drone operation techniques.
- Lead practical and field demonstrations to enhance skill development.
