Role Overview
This pivotal position centers on leveraging data analytics and modelling to support informed decision-making at NBC. The Lending Analytics and Modelling Lead will utilize advanced analytical techniques and tools to transform data into actionable insights, optimize operations, and drive strategic initiatives. The role involves identifying key data sources, performing statistical analysis, building predictive models, and creating high-quality data visualizations for stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies using statistical and machine learning methods.
- Design and deploy predictive and statistical models, as well as machine learning algorithms, to extract actionable insights.
- Extract, clean, and pre-process data from diverse sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and readiness for analysis.
- Develop compelling data visualizations and reports for technical and non-technical audiences using tools like Tableau and Power BI.
- Implement robust data quality checks and resolve any inconsistencies or anomalies.
- Collaborate with IT teams and data engineers to integrate and consolidate data for unified analysis.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to address specific business questions and provide timely insights.
- Continuously refine data analysis models and processes to enhance decision-making efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
- Partner with different departments to align analytics initiatives with business objectives.
- Document analysis processes, methodologies, and findings for future reference.
- Promote data literacy within the organization by sharing insights and expertise.
- Stay informed about emerging tools, technologies, and techniques in data analytics.
- Manage analytics projects from inception to delivery, ensuring timely completion and quality outputs.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in analytical systems support, including lending, data design, and modelling.
- Proven expertise as a Data Analyst, Data Specialist, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of database structures, data mining, and modelling techniques.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and relational/non-relational databases.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and storytelling tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Expertise in data modelling, ETL processes, and statistical methods.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including data cubes and star schemas.
- Strong understanding of business operations and KPIs.
- Ability to identify complex business challenges and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases and statistical analysis techniques.
