Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of ICT, you will be responsible for the configuration, support, and enhancement of the Core Banking System (CBS), while leading digital transformation initiatives. Your role will also include system troubleshooting, business analysis, integration management, and vendor coordination to ensure seamless banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

Core Banking & Digital Solutions Management:

✅ Lead and manage the Digital Solutions Unit under the ICT Department.
✅ Provide functional and technical support for the Core Banking System (Finacle CBS) and integrated platforms.
✅ Oversee system configuration, optimization, and administration to ensure efficiency.
✅ Develop and document best practices and support procedures for banking applications.
✅ Conduct research on innovative banking technologies and recommend automation solutions.
✅ Coordinate with third-party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve system issues within SLA timelines.
✅ Manage application upgrades, implement enhancements, and validate software fixes before deployment.
✅ Ensure the availability of banking tools and disaster recovery resources for business continuity.
✅ Lead and supervise the execution of the Business Continuity Policy for the Core Banking System.
✅ Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to ICT team members.

System Monitoring & Support:

🔹 Monitor system performance and proactively identify security and usability concerns.
🔹 Investigate reported issues, analyze root causes, and implement solutions.
🔹 Manage internal and external escalations for banking system-related incidents.
🔹 Respond to system failures and logged tickets in a timely manner per SLA commitments.
🔹 Ensure 24/7 support availability when needed to maintain seamless banking operations.

Integration & Customization:

📌 Handle and implement customization requests for the banking application.
📌 Develop and maintain APIs, workflows, and system interfaces for seamless integration.
📌 Manage Finacle CRM, Core, Fi, and Connect 24 integrations.
📌 Validate software updates from vendors before deployment.

Risk Management & Compliance:

🔹 Implement and maintain risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies.
🔹 Ensure adherence to banking security policies and risk management frameworks.
🔹 Address risk management exceptions identified during audits and regulatory reviews.
🔹 Promote a risk-conscious culture across ICT and banking operations.

Project Management & Leadership:

🚀 Lead projects related to core banking transformation and system integrations.
🚀 Drive process automation and system efficiency improvements.
🚀 Manage internal stakeholder communication and vendor relationships.
🚀 Ensure compliance with regulatory and cybersecurity standards.


What You Need to Succeed

Technical Skills & Expertise:

Proficiency with Core Banking Systems, particularly Finacle CBS (Version 10.xxx).
✔ Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL, PLSQL, Unix shell scripting, and system workflows.
✔ Experience in banking application support, defect management, and SDLC processes.
✔ Ability to manage backup/recovery processes, business continuity planning, and system security.
✔ Expertise in Finacle interface integrations, APIs, web services, and Unix cron jobs.
✔ Strong project management skills with experience handling multiple tasks in deadline-driven environments.

Qualifications & Experience:

🎓 Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
💼 Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Core Banking System support, configuration management, and digital banking solutions.
