Role Overview
As an IP Planner and OPS, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and optimizing a future-ready, carrier-grade IP transport network that meets business needs while ensuring reliable connectivity. Your role will involve capacity planning, network optimization, and seamless integration of services, keeping pace with emerging technologies such as Software-Defined Networking (SDN).
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop a scalable carrier-grade transport network in line with business objectives.
- Formulate and execute transport technology strategies that align with Vodafone Group Technology Strategy & Architecture (TSA).
- Lead end-to-end network dimensioning, deployment, optimization, and capacity management.
- Integrate RAN & Fixed networks to ensure superior network quality and service availability.
- Forecast short-, mid-, and long-term network capacity and technology evolution based on business and engineering guidelines.
- Prepare detailed technical design documentation to support CAPEX & OPEX planning.

✔ In-depth knowledge of SDN, NVF, Cloud Computing, and IP Networking Protocols.
✔ Hands-on experience with IP Microwave & Optical Transport Networks.
✔ Experience in working in a multi-vendor environment.
✔ Proficiency with Ethernet & IP platforms (Routers & Switches).
Qualifications & Experience:
🎓 Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related field.
📌 Minimum 3 years of professional experience in network design and engineering within the ICT industry.
📜 Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE (or equivalent).
🖥 Training in IP Network Planning, Design & Optimization, including SDN, SRv6, and IPV6.
📚 ITILv3 Foundation Course certification.
