Job Overview
Kilombero Sugar Company Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Major Capital Project Administration Controller to support the K3.1 Project. This role is critical in ensuring strong financial governance, accurate cost management, and seamless financial reporting. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the Project Finance Manager to provide high-quality, timely, and compliant financial insights that drive effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Leadership: Assist the Project Finance Manager and Project Director in ensuring successful project execution within budget, timeline, and scope.
- Governance & Compliance: Implement and maintain financial governance tools and best practices, ensuring compliance with procurement, expediting, and payment procedures.
- Purchase Requisitions & Orders:
- Generate and manage purchase requisitions (PRs) and track their conversion to purchase orders (POs).
- Expedite POs to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor and follow up on project expenditure where POs are not required.
- Payment & Budget Oversight:
- Assist in processing project-related payments efficiently.
- Manage campsite administration, including invoicing and payments aligned with General Ledger and Project Budgets.
- Maintain and oversee project chart of accounts, ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions and allocations.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Maintain project budgets and generate routine expenditure reports.
- Provide insights into cost trends and budget performance.
- Present financial reports clearly and effectively to the project team.
- Administrative & Asset Management Support:
- Track project assets and facilitate their capitalization.
- Maintain a register of assets under financial limits.
- Support the employer’s team in financial and administrative matters.
- Compliance & Ethical Standards:
- Uphold and adhere to the Project Charter, SHERQ policies, Competition Law, and Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC) guidelines.
Required Qualifications & Experience
✔ Education & Certification:
- Diploma in Accounting or Finance from a recognized institution.
✔ Work Experience:
- Extensive administration experience in budget control and financial reporting.
- Prior experience in project finance or administration is preferred.
✔ Technical Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of financial systems, particularly SAP.
- Experience with purchase requisition, order processing, vendor management, and payment processing.
- Solid financial and business acumen, with the ability to anticipate and interpret financial changes affecting the project.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
