Exciting Job Opportunity: Project Services Specialist (K3.1 Project) at Kilombero Sugar Company Limited

Job Overview

Kilombero Sugar Company Limited is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Services Specialist to support the successful execution of the K3.1 Project. This role is essential in ensuring that all project activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The selected candidate will work closely with the Project Site Execution Manager (PSEM) to monitor schedules, manage contract administration, and drive engineering review processes to achieve seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and streamline engineering review processes with the EPC Contractor to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage information flow between the employer and EPC Contractor, ensuring all feedback is documented and actioned appropriately.
• Develop and maintain the Project Programme Schedule, track progress, and provide reports to the PSEM and Project Director.
• Minimize risks related to EPC contract extensions and cost variations by optimizing engagement and decision-making processes.
• Continuously monitor and analyze the execution programme, identifying potential risks and variances.
• Implement planning, scheduling, and monitoring tools within the Employer's Team.
• Track all critical witness and hold point activities, ensuring timely mobilization of required resources.
• Consolidate and coordinate project scope changes, schedule adjustments, and cost variations.
• Manage third-party milestone approvals to align with financial schedules, avoiding penalties or extension claims.
• Ensure full compliance with EPC contract responsibilities, clearly communicating obligations to stakeholders.
• Work closely with Legal Counsel to review contractual documents before submission and escalate notices for prompt action.

Required Qualifications & Experience

✔ Educational Background:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Project Management.

✔ Work Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a heavy engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale EPC projects and implementing process improvements.

✔ Technical Proficiency:

• Strong command of MS Project, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.

✔ Key Competencies:

• Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proven experience in culturally diverse work environments.

Employment Terms

• This position is offered on a Fixed Term Contract.
