📍 Location: Mbozi District, Songwe Region, Tanzania
📅 Contract Duration: 10 months (with the possibility of extension based on funding, performance, or mutual agreement)
About Good Neighbors Tanzania
Good Neighbors Tanzania (GNTZ) is an international NGO focused on sustainable community development, child protection, and empowering local communities. With a strong partnership with KOICA, we are working on the project “Promote Income-Generating through Empowering Maize Producers’ Cooperatives on Climate Change Adaptation” in the Southern Highlands of Tanzania.
Key Responsibilities
As an M&E Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful monitoring and evaluation of the KOICA project. Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and Implement M&E Plans: Create comprehensive monitoring plans to track project performance, indicators, and progress.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Design data collection tools (e.g., Google Forms, Excel sheets) and analyze data to assess the impact of the project.
- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance for operational research and surveys related to the project.
- Design and Conduct Evaluations: Evaluate project outcomes and provide actionable recommendations for improving performance.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate data and prepare timely progress reports for the Project Manager.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work with project teams, beneficiaries, and stakeholders, organizing regular meetings to review and discuss monitoring results.
- Field Visits & Compliance: Conduct field visits to ensure project activities adhere to KOICA and government policies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in M&E, Project Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in community development, with a focus on M&E and data analysis.
- Proven experience in project proposal writing and report preparation.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and other data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
