To strengthen our brand presence and engagement, we are looking for a creative and dynamic Communication & Marketing Officer to join our team in Dar es Salaam.


Position: Communication & Marketing Officer

📌 Reporting to: Senior Leadership Team

Role Overview

This role is instrumental in developing engaging communication strategies, managing marketing initiatives, and enhancing AKES, T’s visibility across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong storytelling ability, excellent digital marketing skills, and a passion for education.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Communication & Branding

  • Develop and implement internal and external communication strategies that align with AKES, T’s mission.
  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all communication channels.

Content Creation & Public Relations

  • Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, newsletters, website content, and speeches.
  • Create compelling content for social media, blogs, and marketing collateral.
  • Handle media relations, responding to inquiries and fostering positive engagement.

Marketing & Digital Outreach

  • Oversee digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, email marketing, and social media management.
  • Monitor marketing analytics, track engagement, and recommend improvements.
  • Utilize basic graphic design tools to enhance marketing materials.

Event Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Plan and execute promotional events, school tours, and open days.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to drive outreach initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

📌 Educational Background:
✔ A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field.

📌 Professional Experience:
3+ years of experience in marketing, communication, or public relations, preferably in the education sector.
✔ Strong proficiency in digital marketing, social media management, and branding.
✔ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a knack for storytelling.
✔ Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite) and Microsoft Office Suite.
