Grower Business Systems Manager Job Opportunity at Kilombero Sugar Company Limited
Job Purpose:
Kilombero Sugar Company Limited is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Grower Business Systems Manager to lead the implementation and management of agricultural business systems. This role focuses on accurate data analysis, planning, forecasting, and reporting while ensuring the effective integration of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for optimal agricultural operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation and integration of business systems such as CanePro with estate information management systems to streamline reporting on seasonal trends, production plans, meteorological data, workforce statistics, and other essential metrics.
- Implement and manage GIS systems for grower registration, mapping, land use planning, asset management, and monitoring of land encroachments.
- Develop standardized and accurate reports, including Resource Planners, Scenarios, and Operational Charts in CanePro, within required timeframes.
- Enhance on-site capability by conducting training programs and refining business systems to improve efficiency and automation.
- Encourage the use of internal platforms such as Kilombero Yetu and Asikhulume for better engagement and communication.
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices and modern techniques to enhance agricultural data accuracy and usability.
- Ensure compliance with Illovo’s policies and procedures, including SHERQ standards, Competition Law, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) regulations.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Geographic Sciences, Environmental Studies, GIS, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in managing or developing systems for agricultural businesses.
- Strong analytical skills in agriculture data analysis with the ability to interpret industry trends.
- Solid business acumen and expertise in the agricultural sector, with the ability to anticipate and respond to changes effectively.
- A formal business or commercial qualification will be an added advantage.
