Position: Junior HRBP (Human Resources Business Partner)
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Reports to: People Operations Manager
Role Overview
As a Junior HRBP, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily HR operations across warehouses and field locations. You will be responsible for employee experience, talent acquisition, and HR compliance, ensuring smooth operations while supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted HR advisor for field and warehouse employees, addressing concerns related to leave, compensation, and workplace matters.
- Maintain HRIS systems, ensuring accurate data entry and operational functionality.
- Lead recruitment efforts for Field Representatives, Customer Service, Telesales, and Supervisors.
- Oversee employee onboarding, delivering training on company culture, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
- Analyze HR metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, employee turnover) to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Manage disciplinary procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and Tanzanian labor laws.
- Handle employee lifecycle processes, including recruitment, terminations, and leave management.
- Maintain and update employee records, covering contracts, benefits, and employment history.
- Support the HR Manager in preparing employment statements and appointment contracts.
- Implement and enforce HR policies, conducting orientation sessions for new hires.
- Ensure full compliance with Tanzanian labor laws and employment regulations.
- Address employee and candidate inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and hiring procedures.
- Oversee payroll management for field and outsourced employees, including FR, fintech staff, delivery agents, warehouse workers, and interns.
- Assist in regulatory compliance tasks, including liaising with the Labor Office, Immigration, NSSF, WCF, and other authorities.
- Perform additional HR-related duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law (LLB), Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–4 years of experience in human resource management.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in HR systems and MS Office applications.
