Position: Assistant Manager – Safety & Loss Prevention

Role Overview

As the Assistant Manager – Safety & Loss Prevention, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and property. You will oversee security operations, implement emergency response protocols, and lead a team to uphold the highest standards of safety and risk management.


Key Responsibilities

Security & Safety Operations

🔹 Supervise and manage daily security operations, ensuring a safe environment for all.
🔹 Enforce security policies, protocols, and crisis response plans, including fire safety, emergency evacuations, and medical emergencies.
🔹 Prevent incidents that may impact the lodge’s reputation.

Team Leadership & Training

🔹 Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor security personnel.
🔹 Conduct performance evaluations and implement development plans for security staff.
🔹 Organize regular fire drills, first aid training, and emergency response exercises.

Risk Management & Incident Handling

🔹 Investigate crimes or incidents involving the lodge, guests, or staff, working closely with law enforcement when necessary.
🔹 Maintain detailed records of security-related incidents, accidents, thefts, and liabilities.
🔹 Analyze security threats and implement proactive risk mitigation measures.
🔹 Assist in managing guest or employee disputes, thefts, bomb threats, fires, power outages, and natural disasters.

Compliance & Reporting

🔹 Ensure compliance with local security regulations and industry best practices.
🔹 Oversee key inventory, alarm systems, and fire protection measures.
🔹 Regularly review and update security protocols based on evolving risks.

Guest & Staff Relations

🔹 Act as a point of contact for guest security concerns, ensuring prompt and professional resolution.
🔹 Foster strong relationships with local law enforcement and emergency service providers.
🔹 Maintain high ethical standards and professionalism in all interactions.


Qualifications & Experience

🎓 Education:
✔ High School Diploma (Bachelor’s degree in a related field is an advantage).

🌍 Experience & Certifications:
✔ Minimum 3 years of experience in security, preferably in hospitality.
✔ Prior supervisory or assistant managerial experience in security/loss prevention.
✔ First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

💼 Skills & Abilities:
✔ Fluent in written and spoken English.
✔ Strong administration, organization, and leadership skills.
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel.
✔ Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently.
✔ Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
