Position: Engineering Manager
📍 Location: Serengeti, Tanzania
📌 Reports to: Director of Engineering
⏳ Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Lead, train, and supervise the engineering team, ensuring high standards of maintenance and efficiency.
🔹 Oversee mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and fire safety systems to guarantee seamless lodge operations.
🔹 Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to maintain optimal performance across all facilities.
🔹 Manage purchasing requisitions, stock control, and tool distribution within the department.
🔹 Monitor energy consumption, enforce conservation programs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
🔹 Maintain firefighting equipment and train staff on emergency protocols.
🔹 Support Green & Safety Committees and sustainability initiatives at the lodge.
🔹 Collaborate with external service providers and organizations such as TANAPA to ensure 24/7 operational reliability.
What We’re Looking For
✅ Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; technical certifications in mechanics, refrigeration, or electrical systems preferred.
✅ Experience: Minimum five years in a similar role within luxury hospitality or related industries.
✅ Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of building maintenance, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic systems.
✅ Certifications: A valid Operating Engineer license is required.
✅ Digital Proficiency: Ability to operate computerized maintenance systems.
✅ Language: Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
