Partnering with African Underground Mining Services (AUMS), we specialize in underground mining operations, including work at Geita Gold Mine (GGM). Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
✅ 5+ years of hands-on experience in a mining environment.
✅ Expertise in mine design, optimization, and production planning for both open-pit and underground operations.
✅ Proven track record in managing high-productivity mining projects and overseeing equipment, personnel, and cost efficiency.
✅ Proficiency in MinRep, Deswick, and Surpac software, including designing templates for reports and data recording.
✅ Strong knowledge of production monitoring, contract management, and performance reporting.
✅ Ability to work independently, applying best industry standards.
✅ Membership in a recognized professional engineering body.
✅ A valid Tanzania Driver’s License.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Provide technical guidance on mining operations, interpreting site performance data and costs.
🔹 Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant mining activities while meeting contractual obligations.
🔹 Engage with site management and teams to achieve production targets and optimize operational efficiency.
🔹 Monitor mining contract variations, manage project plans, and ensure compliance with company policies.
🔹 Lead cost-reduction initiatives and maintain strong client relationships.
🔹 Prepare and present monthly mining performance reports and progress claims.
🔹 Train and mentor graduate and vocational engineers, fostering talent development.
🔹 Conduct pre-start checks to ensure alignment with project requirements and safety standards.
