🌟 About Karibu Tanzania Organization (KTO)

KTO is a national-level NGO dedicated to advancing education, skills development, and community empowerment across Tanzania. As the umbrella body for 55 Folk Development Colleges (FDCs), we work to bridge educational gaps, promote vocational training, and drive sustainable social transformation.

With strong partnerships with the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology (MoEST), government institutions, and international collaborators, we are now expanding our impact to Zanzibar. Our goal? To tackle high dropout rates and provide community-driven vocational education opportunities.


🎯 Your Role as a Program Coordinator Intern

1️⃣ Program Support & Coordination

✅ Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring KTO programs.
✅ Support the organization of meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
✅ Coordinate activities between FDCs, partners, and stakeholders.

2️⃣ Monitoring & Reporting

✅ Collect and document program data, achievements, and challenges.
✅ Assist in preparing progress reports, presentations, and donor updates.
✅ Track program indicators and ensure timely and accurate reporting.

3️⃣ Administrative & Logistical Support

✅ Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and organizing events.
✅ Maintain organized records of program activities and stakeholder engagements.

4️⃣ Visibility & Communication

✅ Contribute to social media and public relations efforts to enhance KTO’s visibility.
✅ Support the creation of newsletters, articles, and success stories showcasing program impact.

5️⃣ Additional Responsibilities

✅ Provide support to the KTO team to enhance program efficiency and learning.


🔎 What We’re Looking For

📚 Education & Qualifications
🎓 Minimum of a Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education or a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Community Development, International Relations, Political Science, or a related field.

📌 Skills & Experience
✅ Strong passion for folk and adult education, community empowerment, and vocational training.
✅ Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute to program execution.
✅ Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Swahili.
✅ Ability to multi-task, work independently, and collaborate with diverse teams.
✅ Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital communication tools.
✅ Willingness to travel, engage in fieldwork, and take initiative.
