Your Role
As a Sea Logistics Customer Care Specialist, you will be fully dedicated to managing import and export operations, ensuring profitability, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Your role is pivotal in maintaining high service standards, managing costs efficiently, and being the go-to person for customer support.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
✅ Drive profitability within your customer portfolio.
✅ Ensure on-time, accurate invoicing and proper cost management.
✅ Maintain correct Gross Profit (GP) and contract filings.
✅ Oversee claims processing and effective claim management.
Operations & Digitalization:
🚢 Coordinate logistics vendors, customs authorities, and transporters.
📊 Analyze service deviations and implement solutions for operational improvements.
📈 Support digitalization initiatives, system automation, and process optimization.
🔗 Strengthen collaboration between Customer Care and Operational Care teams.
Customer & Employee Experience:
🎯 Serve as the first point of contact for clients, ensuring top-notch customer service.
📅 Conduct face-to-face customer meetings at least once every quarter.
📢 Keep customers informed on shipment status and industry changes.
📝 Oversee customer onboarding, SOP implementation, and quotation management.
🤝 Maintain strong relationships with customers and drive engagement.
What You Need to Succeed
🎓 Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related field from a reputable institution.
📦 2-5 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics.
💻 Strong computer skills with a keen eye for digital solutions.
💡 A problem-solver with excellent communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
🌍 Fluency in English & Kiswahili.
