Established in 2004, FSDT is a donor-funded financial sector market facilitator committed to reducing poverty by fostering a transformative financial ecosystem. Our focus is on delivering inclusive and sustainable financial solutions that enhance the livelihoods, wellbeing, and empowerment of underserved Tanzanians.

Position Details

Job Title: HR & Administration Intern
Department: Finance & Operations
Reports To: Head of Finance & Operations
Contract Type: Internship


Key Responsibilities

Human Resources

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Assist in talent acquisition, including job postings, resume screening, and interview coordination.

  • Support hiring managers in selection processes, from initial screenings to candidate onboarding.

  • Facilitate seamless onboarding, including contract preparation, documentation collection, and orientation sessions.

Employee Relations & Compliance:

  • Provide HR support by ensuring adherence to company policies and labor laws.

  • Assist with employee relations matters and documentation management.

Records & Data Management:

  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Support HR data management, audits, and reporting.

Training & Development:

  • Coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and engagement.

  • Track and report training progress and compliance with mandatory programs.

Payroll & Benefits Administration:

  • Process payroll-related documentation, ensuring accuracy in timesheets, leave balances, and deductions.

  • Assist in handling employee benefits administration and queries.

HR Projects & General Support:

  • Participate in HR initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing employee engagement and operational efficiency.

  • Provide administrative assistance to the HR department as needed.

Program Administration Support

Contract & Vendor Management:

  • Oversee vendor contracts, ensuring timely renewals and compliance with agreements.

  • Assist in evaluating vendor services and aligning them with FSDT’s operational needs.

  • Collaborate with procurement and program teams for contract negotiations and approvals.

Meetings & Events Coordination:

  • Organize logistics for internal meetings and external events.

  • Assist in the preparation, collation, and distribution of agendas, documents, and meeting materials.

  • Support meeting documentation by taking minutes, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance.


Who We’re Looking For

Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • At least one year of HR and administration experience in a generalist role.

  • Strong understanding of labor laws, HR best practices, and contract management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Self-motivated and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
