🌟 Job Purpose
Kilombero Sugar Company Limited is looking for a Strategic/Major Project Manager to oversee contract development, third-party relationship management, and seamless execution of high-impact projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial integrity, risk management, compliance, and smooth transition to business-as-usual operations.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
✅ Contract & Stakeholder Management:
- Develop and execute project contracts, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Manage third-party service providers to align with project goals.
- Lead project teams, motivating and developing talent throughout the project lifecycle.
✅ Project Strategy & Execution:
- Own and oversee the business case of each project, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Analyze alternative project options to identify the most effective approach.
- Develop a robust project schedule using a stage-gate process for optimal financial and commercial management.
✅ Governance, Risk & Compliance:
- Implement corporate project governance procedures to ensure projects stay on track.
- Apply a risk management framework to identify and mitigate potential project risks.
- Establish a quality management system to meet stakeholder expectations.
✅ Health & Safety Leadership:
- Take ownership of H&S protocols, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment.
✅ Project Transition & Business Adoption:
- Ensure seamless handover of projects to operational teams through a structured change management process.
🔹 Required Qualifications & Experience
🎓 Education:
✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any relevant field from a recognized institution.
📌 Experience & Certifications:
✔ 7+ years of experience in project management within relevant industries.
✔ Strong knowledge of industry-standard contract forms.
✔ APMP Certification (or equivalent) in Project Management.
✔ NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety (or Construction Safety).
✔ In-depth knowledge of capital processes and systems.
✔ Proven experience in successful project delivery.
