Kilombero Sugar Company Limited is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Planner to support the implementation of best-in-class logistics strategies. This role is key to optimizing outbound logistics operations and ensuring seamless product movement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement logistics best practices, policies, tools, and technology to enhance efficiency.
• Analyze and interpret planning data from SAP S4 and other sources (e.g., sales and transfer orders, stock in transit).
• Contribute to long-term transport and logistics planning to ensure operational continuity.
• Optimize logistics assets, including equipment, materials, and personnel.
• Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager and Customer Service Centre to manage daily and weekly product deliveries.
• Plan and adjust daily uplifts based on stock-keeping unit (SKU) requirements and destination points.
• Manage transfer orders, ensuring smooth stock movement from the mill to domestic and international distribution centers.
• Source and manage transporters, ensuring timely updates and tracking of shipments.
• Oversee vehicle movement, flagging overdue transports for prompt action.
• Confirm receiving site availability and liaise with transport teams for smooth execution.
• Drive continuous improvement through benchmarking and operational analysis.
• Adhere to SHERQ policies, Competition Law, and Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC) guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Logistics or Transport Management.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in logistics, transportation, and warehousing within an FMCG environment.
• Strong skills in logistics planning, routing, scheduling, and reverse logistics.
• Proficiency in Transport Management Systems (TMS) and Excel.
• Problem-solving ability with a customer-centric approach and cost-conscious mindset.
• Knowledge of Sales and Distribution systems is an added advantage.
• Experience in exports, shipping, clearing, and forwarding is highly desirable.
