Role Overview
NMB Bank PLC is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Reconciliation Analyst to join our team on a fixed-term contract of two years. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate monitoring and control of the bank's General Ledger (GL) and branch suspense accounts by offering timely and effective reconciliation support to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will help minimize financial risks and maintain compliance with banking regulations.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Daily Account Reconciliation & Reporting

Reconcile Head Office and branch suspense accounts daily, ensuring reports are accurate and timely.

Conduct daily reconciliation of GEPG merchant suspense accounts, Visa, MasterCard, and UnionPay International (UPI) ATM Clearing GLs.

Identify, investigate, and document reconciliation issues while ensuring all aged items are properly categorized.

Escalate unresolved process issues and long-standing reconciling items to management for corrective action.
✅ Process Optimization & Risk Management

Participate in automating reconciliation processes to enhance efficiency.

Maintain comprehensive records of reconciliation reports, ensuring a clear audit trail.

Ensure adherence to banking policies, financial regulations, and industry best practices in all reconciliation activities.
✅ Collaboration & Advisory Support

Assist branches and internal teams with reconciliation-related queries by providing expertise and best practices.

Work closely with the Card Reconciliation Manager to improve operational processes.

Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
Required Qualifications & Experience
🎓 Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
📌 Experience & Skills:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in reconciliation or card settlement (preferably within the banking sector).

Strong financial reporting and accounting skills.

Proficiency in banking operations and risk management.

Ability to adapt to new technologies and participate in automation projects.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
