Role Purpose:

As the Head of Corporate Risk and Security, you will oversee four key functions:

  1. Fraud Prevention/Detection: Safeguarding Vodacom against fraudulent activities and strengthening prevention strategies.
  2. Business Continuity Management (BCM): Ensuring that Vodacom’s systems and processes are robust enough to recover quickly from disruptions.
  3. Physical Security & Law Enforcement Assistance (LEA): Managing physical security protocols across Vodacom premises, data centers, and assisting law enforcement where necessary.
  4. Forensic and Investigations: Investigating and reporting any irregularities to protect the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Governance & Strategy Implementation: Translate Vodafone Group's CRS strategy into local execution. Ensure alignment with global policy standards, local policies, and contract management.

  • Business Continuity Management: Plan, maintain, and test Vodacom’s recovery capabilities. Ensure that any potential disruptions are mitigated with proper plans in place.

  • Physical Security & Law Enforcement: Oversee visitor and access management, control room operations, and ensure comprehensive security for Vodacom's premises and data centers.

  • Forensics & Fraud Management: Lead initiatives for fraud prevention, detection, and management. Conduct investigations and ensure proper reporting.

Professional Qualifications and Skills:

  • A university graduate with over 10 years of experience in governance, risk, and control functions, such as internal audit.
  • Experience spanning industries like telecommunications, banking, logistics, and FMCG.
  • Strong investigative, research, surveillance, and intelligence gathering skills.
  • Proficiency in Advanced Excel and excellent writing and communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
  • Leadership abilities, with a focus on relationship-building across diverse teams and global geographies.
